After yet more fun involving bikes on trains, and more specifically baggage handlers who didn't want to handle any baggage, we made it into Athens and our first stay in a real bed (as real as any hostel bed can be).
As it happened, entrance to the Acropolis was free for some reason the day we arrived so we headed up for a quick look around in the late afternoon sun to get our bearings for our archeological adventures the following day.

Wow--looks lovely. Athens is definitely somewhere I would like to visit, although maybe during off-season when there are fewer tourists around. Or maybe there is no off-season? Enjoy! What are you eating?
